Chinese Pharmacopoeia: Anshen Buxin Pills
Prescription: Danshen 300g, Schisandra (steamed) 150g, Acorus tatarinowii 100g, Anshen Paste 560g
Properties: Brown concentrated pills or sugar-coated pills; taste astringent and slightly sour.
Processing: The above four ingredients, Anshen Paste is made by taking 3 parts each of Albizzia julibrissin, Cuscuta chinensis, and Eclipta prostrata, 4 parts of Ligustrum lucidum (steamed), 5 parts of Polygonum multiflorum, 2 parts of Rehmannia glutinosa, and 20 parts of mother-of-pearl, mixing them, adding water and decocting them twice, the first time for 3 hours and the second time for 1 hour, combining the decoctions, filtering, and concentrating the filtrate to a relative density of 1.21 (80-85℃).
